Product Description
Milo's mum has laid an Egg, and it's due to hatch at any time. So when Mum has to go on a food-finding expedition, Dad has to look after the Egg. So it's up to Milo to deliver the Penguin Post mail. He delivers parcels of all shapes and sizes to all sorts of animals. As he is delivering the last parcel he realises there's an extra package in the mailbag, one that he needs to get home as quickly as he can...

From the Back Cover
"Special Delivery!" called Milo.
"For us?" said Milo's dad.
"I love surprises in the post. Let's unwrap it."
"I think it's unwrapping itself," said Milo.

"Debi Gliori is a superb artist as well as a practised writer and Penguin Post glows with rich, warm colours. With plenty of detail to linger over, this is another title for children to grow up with as well as enjoy now" Independent

"Debi Gliori has a wonderfully fresh style and her illustrations are full of those intriguing little details that children love." Mail on Sunday

4.0 out of 5 stars A great read, 28 Jun 2005
By A Customer
This is a great book with fantastic illustrations by the ever wonderful Debbie Gliori. Milo is a little penguin whose family run the North Pole post office. They are expecting a baby in the family and are waiting for the egg to hatch. One day Milo's mum goes looking for food and Dad stays at home to watch the egg while Milo goes out to deliver the post. You are introduced to some of the residents of the North Pole including my sons favourite Mama Oose and get to see whats inside their parcels. Then Milo dicovers a mistake has occured and the egg containing his baby sibling is sitting in his post bag. The joy with Debbie Gliori is the fantastic illustrations and attention to detail in the pictures. You can look for ages to make sure you have seen everything. A real favourite.

5.0 out of 5 stars Penguin Post, 10 Mar 2008

This review is from: Penguin Post (Hardcover)
Great book, fantastic illustrations. My son had it from his school as a night time reading book and we loved it so much I had to buy it. There are funny names, post codes etc in the book which make up new words. The fact that I bought it second hand in hard back for only 1.97 was amazing - will definitely try this way of buying again.
