Product Description

From the Publisher

The second volume of the Talents of Earth --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

From the Back Cover

Earth was at bursting point, in spite of the birth restrictions of only one child to each couple. Extra children existed in a sub-cultured world or were rounded up into slavery. The only hope was the space platform - the jumping-off point for the colonization of other worlds. But more 'Talents' were needed to build and operate those platforms.

Rhyssa Owen was the one responsible, both for finding Talents and training them. And when she felt the first encroachment of a mind reaching out to her, she knew it was exceptional - a fourteen- year-old boy with incredibly powerful kinetic ability. And in the seamy underworld of near-criminal children was another brilliant mind in danger from a ruthless group of child kidnappers.

Rhyssa knew she had to find the two children and train them for the survival of earth. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

4.0 out of 5 stars Builds on pegasus theme brilliantly, 28 Sep 2001
I started with Damia and had to go backwards. I found that I didn't need to worry about not reading the series in sequence, which is always great. Good storyline, which was stronger than "To ride Pegesus". For me, it lacks some depth of character, but nevertheless, a jolly good read.

5.0 out of 5 stars One great book, 9 Jun 2000
By A Customer
Personally, I preferred this book to the first in the series :'To ride Pegasus'. Anne McCaffery brings forth interesting charicters and places them in an equally interesting story-line. If you loved Pern and liked 'The Rowan' series then it's most likely you'll adore Pegasus in Flight.

4.0 out of 5 stars Anne McCaffrey when she is best, 12 Jun 2001

This review is from: Pegasus in Flight (Paperback)
If you liked 'To ride Pegasus' or the Talent series, you will love this book. The plot is better, the action is better and the characters are exelent described. Anne McCaffrey's unique blend of the personal elements and the SF/Fantasy which she does so well, makes this book a very good read.

5.0 out of 5 stars For anyone who wants to know how the Talents got started
A briliant book telling how the Talents that we love in the Rowan came into being, and the strugles of Old Earth that they had to resolve. Read more
