Book Description
The Cambridge Diet has developed from its origins as a Very Low Caloire Diet and is now used in more than 20 countries.
From the Author
I wrote the original Cambridge Diet book back in 1985. The Diet was developed following more than eight years extensive research at the University of Cambridge and the West Middlesex and Addenbrookes Hospitals in the 1970s.
I have comprehensively updated & redesigned the book (which will soon have its own page on amazon.co.uk) but it still contains much of my original story about how the Diet works and how & why it was developed.
It has been wonderful to come back 20 years after writing the original and have a chance to fully update the book because so much has happened in the meantime.
There is much more evidence now of the benefits of Very Low Calorie Diets and of course millions of people around the world have safely and successfully used the Diet.
New additions to the text include an in-depth look at the nutritional make up of the Diet, a detailed history of what happened after the original book was published running right up to the present day and a number of inspiring personal stories of people who successfully lost weight using Cambridge. It also includes a number of calorie-controlled recipes designed to complement the Cambridge programmes.
