This book is one of the best I have ever read with magic,mystery,adventure and fun its got a brilliant mixture of everything, you just don't want to put it down. Its about 2 young men on a quest to kill evil and return magic to Isle the imagination of Nancy Springer is immense. It never gets boring, I think this book was superbly written and I would reccomend it to everyone.

This is my favorite book. I have read it several times over the years and am on the last chapter again. It is a well written, easy read. It has all the elements - fantasy, a quest, love, sorrow and horses! I even considered calling my son Hal but my husband refused!
