I found this book excellent for giving an introduction into the syntax of Javascript. However given a few hours to try the examples you will soon be wishing you had bought a more comprehensive text. As a reference book for programmers this is useless, as an introduction to a complete new starter it's great but at over twenty pounds for 150 pages I think it's pricey.

Excellent book, very easy to read, very well laid out. I who had absolutely no previous contact with javascript can now write pretty cool stuff for a webpage.
