5.0 out of 5 stars A True Collectors item, 6 May 2001
By Robert Lester (Australia) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This two tome masterpiece is a true collector's item. It comes in a cloth box, consisting of two parts; the first being the history of the Endeavour and the full account of Cook's first voyage to Australia and the second book is really a sleeve for poster size drawings (several)of the schematics of the Endeavour based upon admiralty drawings by the Author.

The Author himself was an Australia sailor who spent time on the Burma railway as a POW of the Japanese in WWII, was released whilst working in Japan at the end of the war, went on to be classically trained as an artist and worked as a wharfie on the docks in Melbourne Australia.

The man is a passionate survivour who has poured his life into this works.
