5.0 out of 5 stars This is a MUST HAVE book for all teachers of Mathematics, 16 April 2000
By A Customer
This book brings numbers alive. It gives insights into how numbers appear everyday, how numbers help form patterns and the interconnection between types of number. It is accesible to a 10 yr old, yet provides challenges for all levels of Mathematics up to degree. It should be in every Maths teachers collection and ALL school libraries.

5.0 out of 5 stars So pleased to see it back in print, 10 Nov 2004
By Matthew Pike (NOTTINGHAM, UK.) - See all my reviews
This book is excellent. It interests the reader in numbers. You can be between 5 and 95 to enjoy it. The facts vary from the useful to the unhelpful, the level of mathematics from basic to A level. All school libraries should have a copy. All primary teachers should use the facts from 1-31 to give an interest to the date. All secondary teachers should use it to excite students in the relevance of mathematics and how it is the science of patterns.
Best bit - pentagonal bolts in the USA.
