4.0 out of 5 stars Worth the purchase price for the first 50 pages, 23 Jun 2000
By rod.webb@pdc-online.co.uk (Harrogate, England) - See all my reviews
For me, the first 50 pages were the most useful part of this book, where Jordan Ayan reminds us of the barriers we put in the way of creativity and the damage done by adulthood. The sections on the four stage process of creativity, the seven forms of intelligence and comfort zones are brilliant.

Indeed as I glance back through my volume I find the first fifty or so pages covered with highlighter of varying colours, notes and dog eared pages.

This is less apparent once the books gets into the actual strategies, which basically revolve around the theme of opening yourself to new experiences and knowledge in order to live a creative lifestyle.

A very useful introduction to Creativity then with some good ideas about becoming more generally creative and definitely worth buying. If you are looking for specific creative thinking tools though, look at some of Tony Buzan's excellent work or that of Edward de Bono as well.

A good inspirational book for those who need inspiration. Well-written and informative but lacks the specific tools and techniques one needs to become more creative.
