This books wants us to feel like gay men about town, citizens with a sense of dress, and etiquette, and able to draw on the traditions of oriental and hellenic gay art as our cultural heritage as modern gay men.

I like the pencil sketches on p44-45 but the ones on p56-57 are the positions I would really like to master - they look so serene and bonded, as do those on p.59-61 followed by a whole section on Auparishtaka - which we all do - but the book has polish and shows gay sex as an elevated and quality part of quality lives of real men.......it is an etiquette and sex manual and shows men as part of a long and honourable tradition of men-loving men.

Once I bought this book and threw it out (stupid !)....it has taken a long time to hunt down another copy, and this one stays on the bookshelf !!
