i don't agree with the previous review of "the promise". i would be lying if i said that this book was as good as her previous works, but this is by no means unreadable.
"The promise", is a nice light read. it has love, intrigue and time travel all nicely woven into a quite enjoyable tale, where once you start reading, all the charactors seem to fall into place.
It would have been nice to have a story on the two charactors patrick and loralee.

Having read 'After Twilight' and 'Just Breathe' both written by Dee Davis I was looking forward to reading her latest book. What a disappointment. A time travel romance that travelled a bit to often between Colorado in the 1880s and the present day.
Cara and Michael's story set around the Promise silver mine didn't live up to the promise of Ms. Davis' previous books.
