Along with Waldberg's Surrealism, this is a key text for the study of Surrealist art.From the precursors, through the development of surrealist art,to Breton's death in 1966,Alexandrian covers the whole range of the surrealists persuit of the marvellous. The book is well illustrated with wide choice of important works.Amust have!
