This review is from: Life of Buddha as Legend and History (History of Civilization) (Paperback)
The life of the Buddha written from the Theravada tradition, which is the earliest Buddhist school. This is an authoratitive account which will appeal both to the academic and general interest reader. Some nice black and white photographs too. Very highly recommended.
