5.0 out of 5 stars the best of the bunch, 14 Feb 2004
By A Customer
As someone who has suffered from eating disorders, this is by far the best book on the subject from a well-respected consultant with a wealth of experience. It is written in a clear, factual style and should be compulsory reading for professionals involved in this field. I would also recommend it to families who want to gain insight and understanding into these often bewildering problems.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent for Clinicians, Patients and Interested Others, 21 Jan 2001
By A Customer
This book is a fantastic resource for anyone who is interested in the eating disorders and their treatment. It is writtent in a style which is both lightly humorous, and appropriately serious when necessary, which makes it a joy to read. Bob Palmer's experience and knowledge are evident as he gives a reasoned and balanced account of disorders which to many seem inexplicable. I would certainly recommend this book unreservedly to anyone with an interest in this field.
