Synopsis
The work of the German architect Zamp Kelp has become known throughout the world for its radical yet buildable appeal. He was the pivotal founding member of the experimental architect/artist group Haus-Rucker-Co, which tackled the problem of systematics of architecture analytically and empirically. This book is the an account of Zamp Kelp's architectural and written work. It has three main sections - "Identity: The Representational Projection"; "Observations for Culture"; and "Additional Elements", the book includes a series of essays on the subject of "expanding space". Each chapter presents between five and eight projects, accompanied by texts by Zamp Kelp and Schmiedeknecht, expanding on the usual project description by relating the ideas to contemporary issues and debates.
