5.0 out of 5 stars A definite read for anyone starting out in model rocketry, 3 Nov 2005
By Simon Berry (Kent, UK) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I'm a beginner in model rocketry. In fact, I haven't even had a flight yet. My rockets are sitting at home waiting for some good weather. I've spent some time talking to people on forums, and reading the information on various rocketry sites, so I'm aware of the basics.
This book arrived yesterday and seems to fill in all the blanks, as well as explaining the basics I already knew very well. The author is careful to allow for possible changes in the future, and also impresses upon the reader the importance of safety without overdoing it and asounding like a nagging old-timer.

All relevant areas of the hobby are covered, from using the Ready To Fly kits to making a rocket from scratch, all types of rocket motor, recovery systems etc.

I've already learnt a lot from this book and I'm only halfway through. I would definitely recommend to this to anyone starting out in model rocketry, and probably to more experienced people as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars An Awesome Book on Rockets, A must read for all Rocketeers., 14 Aug 1999
By A Customer
This Book Covers the History of Rockets to How to Build your own rocket and back. It is written in a super format and contains around 349 pages of knowladge of rockets and its cousins (Rocket Gliders.) Any body who knows nothing about rockets will be an expert by the end of the book and it is very helpful for even experts.
