3.0 out of 5 stars Adequate but not brilliant, 19 May 2003
By A Customer
This book deals with type 2 diabetes treated with diet and pills not insulin replacement injections. It gives basic information for anybody newly diagnosed and it is written in a simple and easy to understand way.

However, there are many other similarly priced books that are just as well written but deal with the subject far more comprehensively. In particular, it omits any real mention of the emotional and psychological impact a diagnosis of diabetes can have on somebody.

This would not be my first choice of book to recommend to anybody newly diagnosed with diabetes.
