Based on the award–winning reference book Ken Schultz′s Fishing Encyclopedia, this handy field guide compresses the essence of its bestselling predecessor into a more manageable, compact size. 1.0 out of 5 stars North American Saltwater Fish!, 7 Mar 2008
By Mr. Duncan Forrester (England) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
UK buyers should note that this is very much an American book. Very little, if any, attention is paid to UK/European species.
The illustrations are a bit basic too, which in an identification guide is not a good thing.
I returned mine for a refund.

1.0 out of 5 stars small illustrations lots of writing - American names, 12 Jun 2008
By Pete Mesley "Pete The Plumber" (Whitby, UK) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
As previously stated, this is an American guide, and even when they do mention fish that you might find in British waters, they often have American names (e.g. Angler fish (or Monkfish) they call a Goose fish).

Really no use for British waters. I too will be returning my copy for a refund.

1.0 out of 5 stars American not UK Waters, 12 Oct 2008
By C. Loney (Scotland) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I wish that I had read the reviews before I purchased the book. I mistakenly assumed that this book was for UK waters but it was a North American guide. I too will be returning for a refund.
