Product Description

Product Description
Thoroughly revised edition of the bestselling skill–building consultant guide
A revision of its successful predecessor–which has sold over 23,000 copies since it was first published in 1993–How to Run Seminars & Workshops has been completely revised throughout to provide the most up–to–date material currently available in the field. An entirely new chapter examines the state–of–the–art technology available to presenters, especially LCD projectors, laptops with PowerPoint, electronic white boards, documents cameras, 8mm players, and the idea–behind–distance learning. Written by a tireless consultant and self–promoter, How to Run Seminars & Workshops is an essential resource for the ever–expanding consultant market.

From the Author
Hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it!
After teaching every trainer employed by Xerox for five years, I thought I would simply put the training I conducted in book form. If you are looking for a repeatable, predictable approach to making your seminars memorable, I think you’ll enjoy my work. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent guide - a must for all trainers, 31 Jul 2001
Robert Jolles' How to Run Seminars and Workshops is well written and is presented in an easy and uncomplicated format. Jolles style is such that the reader is able to learn valuable tricks almost by accident and without feeling patronised. Indeed Jolles' style is both symplistic and complex. The beauty is that the author has made an obvious and extraordinary effort to make reading the book almost effortless. Here is a man who is willing and able to learn from all of his everyday life experiences. You get the feeling from reading the book that Jolles is probably one of the best trainers on the planet, yet he is no self publicist and posses great humility. Life is a lesson and Jolles is happy to learn from it. And learn. And learn.

2.0 out of 5 stars great for presentation skills, not for promoting a seminar, 1 Nov 1998
By A Customer
The title could be misleading...don't be confused. This book is great for discussing skills needed by presenters. It is not a how-to book for designing or promoting seminars.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Bible for Train the Trainer, 24 Mar 1998
By A Customer
Rob Jolles wrote the original Train The Trainer for Xerox. This book is not only the best for developing presentation skills, it is also an excellent book for fundamental sales skills. I took Rob Jolles' Train the Trainer course and Rob is the benchmark training instructor in the USA. Buy the book for your managers, sales reps, and management candidates; then have Rob deliver the course live, he is the best.
