Product Description

This 4th Edition, SI Version, retains the style and presentation of all previous editions. As ever, theory is reinforced through application to a wealth of engineering problems. These problems are varied and relevant to the real world, and have been extensively revised: 50 per cent of them are new for this edition. The emphasis is very much on the practice of engineering design, making many problems open-ended. The problem sets have been graded into introductory and representative, with more challenging problems located at the end of the problem sets. Computer-orientated problems, involving the finding of a condition of design or criticality, are also given, as are example problems complete with hints and suggestions.

The book is good for very little. It gives a basic introduction to the basics of Statics and Dynamics. Its examples are useful, but there are not enough worked solutions. Not worth getting to study with alone, but if you need something to give a different point of view it is worth it.

SUMMARY:Book having a lot of problems related to many fields of engineering.

i have solved nearly all texts on engineering mechanics ALONE, but i find it having the richest wealth of problems with great diversity.It makes your brain ready for facing any type of difficulty, so you have to keep all related "tools" with you.Most of the books have repeated problems,seem to be impressed with certain field of application,but here you will find the "BEST VARIETY" encompassing a number of real world problems.
Theory is clear and concise,presenting good understanding of fundamental laws but NOT THE BEST.
