It may be a useful reference, but I know of at least one section that is wrong. The example given for the SELECT tag in WML doesn't work in the Phone.com Emulator, and does not reflect how any other WML example uses it, so it probably wont work.

I had purchased this book, because I wanted to understand the technology behind WAP and what it can do. I later found that this book is not for beginners. It is the complete reference to the Protocol itself. I wanted something that was going to teach me how WAP works, how to use it, and to solve problems, where this book can tell me every characteristic about WAP, but not basic stuff that I'm interested in at the moment. I would keep this if you bought it, because when you learned enough to use it, this book wil be your Bible to WAP.
