This is a great first timer's guide. I bought this a while ago and it is still as useful now as it was way back then. Don't let the fact that it was published a few years ago put you off - this book is more about the line of thinking we should be following if we are to set up a web site with a high number of hits. The book covers everything from getting the right 'hook' for your site, to getting you thinking about how people are going to enter your site - whether your site will be split into two (non-commercial/commercial, the do's and don'ts about newsgroups - loads of great tips - the man obviously knows what he's talking about. You should definitely have this one on your shelf if you're thinking about starting up your own website!

This book is full of practical advice for businesses who are new to the internet.The author has obviously had considerable experience of helping to establish web sites.If you only want one book about internet marketing , this is the one I would recommend.my only reservation about this book is that it is two years old and some of the web sites mentioned in it no longer exist.

Not the first that I have read on the subject but certainly the best. I now refer the book as being the one to buy if you're only going to buy a single book on Web marketing.

This book is supposed to be about what? Increasing hits and selling? Yeah right. My hits didn't budge and I followed what the author discusses to the letter.
