3.0 out of 5 stars Had We But World Enough and Time ..., 7 Dec 2005
This book contains practically all of Marvell's poetry and has an interesting foreword but it has no notes which would be really useful! Also the books are too small to make notes in, my English class are using separate A4 sheets to annotate the poems, which seems a bit pointless. Good for somebody who just wants to enjoy rich, descriptive poetry, but not a great copy for students.

5.0 out of 5 stars Clear edition and good poetry, if not slightly silly., 16 April 2005
By A Customer
Put it this way: 'Wit and ambiguity are both central concepts in Marvell's poetry. Discuss' was the exam question this year on Andrew Marvell's poetry (A Level English Lit). Marvell's imagery is thorough and very decorative but can seem a bit silly sometimes. This edition comes with line numbers and a contents page, not many contextual notes though. But its cheap! And students love cheap books right? :)
