Earth shattering, it may not be, but this is still a very good, very well written thriller. The characters are interesting and believable, the narrative and dialogue perposeful and effortlessly handled by Quinnell; the book is so easy to read, you'll have finished it in a matter of hours.

I recommend "In The Name Of The Father" very highly. This is one of the more readily available A J. Quinnell titles, so, if you fancy a good read, pick up a copy. You won't be disappointed.

Fairly predictable story-line but nevertheless worth reading for relaxation. The plot unfolds in a logical sequence and you do not need to be a genius to understand where the characters will interact and the resulting outcomes. Enjoyed the group the hero (Mirek) encounters in Poland and this was probably the most tense segment of the story. Nothing earth shattering but just about worth your time - especially for a winter night or beach read.
