Most Helpful Customer Reviews   3 of 4 people found the following review helpful: This book brought me to my own Age of Enlightenment, 26 Nov 1998 By A Customer A leatherbound edition came into my hands when I was thirteen - and I was in rural Philippines. (I now live in Australia.) I do not know how the book came to my part of the world, but it surely opened my sexual horizons. Being a non-English speaker, I found a lot of the terms alien to me, but gradually learned their meanings. I was about 14 very handy !!! If you like erotic reading then this is for you. While reading this book remember that the Victorians covered chair legs for modesty reasons, and therefore the writings are quite explicit for that time period. I first read My secret Life 31 years ago. I read it twice that summer and kept it 10 years. I donated it to an organization with an extensive erotic library.
