Paradise Island is the first in a triology. This book introduces the shandian copration and the lengths that it goes to to get what it wants. The main story in this book is a love story that orginally starts with hostility (as these books often do!) However, it becomes appartant that both the hero and heroine are hiding stuff and this all builds up into a really great ending. The story its self is ok and its the next book, Dream Mountain, that is a must read!
