4.0 out of 5 stars I've checked it once. I may check it twice., 29 Jan 2007

(REAL NAME)
An enjoyable book, but the more whimsical offerings didn't sit too well with me. (Although, what did I imagine would be in a book about Santa Claus?) I preferred the more contemporary stories, especially Clive Barker's 'Nackles'.
Although Harlan Ellison is legendary, his tale was,for me,very dated and I didn't enjoy the style in which it was written (I'm sure he speaks highly of me, though). Someone else, however, may love it.
I've read this book once and I may well be moved to read it twice when Christmas comes around again. There's certainly enough in it that would make it worth dipping into again.
