2.0 out of 5 stars Flimsy, 17 Jun 2002
By Mark Cordell (Teesside, UK) - See all my reviews
... this is a disappointment. At a mere 90 pages long it is very flimsy, the cover is paper-thin and there are only about 30 photographs from the show itself.

The format of the book is like a glossary of terms used in Seinfeld. This can be useful for us Brits as it explains the various products and cultural references we don't understand over here. There isn't any background on the show or its stars.

And there isn't enough content. The episode guide only goes up to episode 60 and then the summaries are incredibly short. And it isn't even in colour.

I wish I'd bought one of the other Seinfeld books out there.

5.0 out of 5 stars The book is better than the show--a really big compliment!, 2 Jul 1998
By A Customer
I find Fretts's summaries to be as clever and astute as the actual episodes. Now that the show's gone, I love to pick up my copy and take a laugh-out-loud walk down memory lane.

5.0 out of 5 stars Seinfeld At His Best, 9 May 1998
By A Customer
"The Entertainment Weekly Seinfeld Companion" is a wonderful reference to the world of Seinfeld. It is filled with anecdotal oddities, like atomic wedgies, ayatollah khomeini and of course the soup nazi. The compendium of shows is great, it tells of each episode. It is missing the last two seasons, however, which can be a drawback. It is an awesome tribute to the man, the marvel, Cosmo Kramer.
