Product Description

MAD Magazine - Barts and The London Students' Association

"...a must have for anyone wanting a career in surgery." --This text refers to an alternate Paperback edition.

Product Description

Now that the examinations have been introduced that assess trainees at the end of the Basic Surgical Training - the MRCS/AFRCS, the contents of this work have been modified to cover the curricula. Furthermore, those who are training the specialist FRCS at the end of the Higher Surgical traning, and who have not covered the curriculum of the modern basic assessment, will find that this book covers many topics that are relevant to the final examination.

3.0 out of 5 stars This book is finding it difficult to remain number one., 12 Feb 2002
By A Customer
This book was the star in its field before other books entered the fray. Its outstanding chapter is on the physiological response to trauma but even this chapter can be bettered by reading Rafferty's basic sciences. The Pastest Core Book leaves this CSiG book gasping for breath to catch up in terms of clarity and high yield facts. Given that this book costs about 50 quid I would confine it to yesterdays recommended book list when this was the only decent book around. You could buy both Pastest Books for a similar sum. Prof Mansfield I'm sorry but this book needs updating quickly to keep up with the competetion.
