2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing, 5 Feb 2004
I just couldn't bring myself to finish this novel. There are some fairly good moments early on, such as the main character's fight with a bunch of savage Picts, but other than that I found it quite dull and unexciting. The only Cormac Mac Art tale I'd read before this was the short story "Temple of Abomination" by R.E. Howard, and that was more enjoyable for me.
