5.0 out of 5 stars Bring back Silverlock - now please, 29 May 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Silverlock (Mass Market Paperback)
My own paperback is rather tatty, as I've read it dozens of times. Take your brain out and Silverlock is a hilarious romp through a rather fascinating land called the Commonwealth. Hundreds of pop-up references to characters from old classics - the whale Moby Dick and Robin Hood to name just two - add interesting diversions but do not deflect or detract from the plot. The work is old - first published just after WWI (yes, one), and read this for a clean, wholesome, yet fulfilling fantasy classic.
