4.0 out of 5 stars Fangtastic!, 24 Feb 2000
By A Customer
I bought #2-6 on holiday in Florida out of boredom. Once back in Blighty it took 6 months to get hold of #1 since they are not published here. But it was worth it and still is. "A Chill.." is longer than the previous 6, which gives Elrod more space to develop the characters and fill in their personal backstory. The twist-in-the-tale ending over the warehouse fire/murders is nicely Christiesque (ie., I didn't get it). Looking forward immensely to getting my teeth (pun intended) into A Dark Sleep. A great read!

3.0 out of 5 stars Confusing but good, 22 July 1998
By A Customer
As a big fan of both of P.N. Elrod's vampire series (Jack Fleming and Jonathan Barrett), I couldn't wait to read this one. Admittedly, it is tough to write a 5th book in the series without upsetting someone, but I wish she had provided more background information. I have read the others in the series, but not recently enough to remember who was who. It's different to read a novel set in the 1930's, but I often got lost with the terminology. Still an enjoyable read for fans of the series.
