5.0 out of 5 stars One of the greatest books I ever read, 24 Jun 1999

I am a big fan of Walter Dean Myers, but this is one of his best, everything about it was realistic. I recomend this to anyone of any age, anyone who ever grew up can relate to this book. It even may bring back memories of when you were in high school. Read it, you won't be dissapointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars The author does a great job making it real., 14 Oct 1998
By A Customer
This is a great book about the difficult choices that high school players have to make when they reach a point. I could never put this book down. The main character Lonnie Jackson is a sweet player with game and girls. He has a hard time because of what goes around outside of basketball like gangs, girls, liquor and other things that make teenagers what they are. I recommend this book to all basketball players because I think that they would be really interested in the book. While reading this book you will learn about the how it was growing up in the streets of Harlem. Trust me, if your looking for a great book that is really exciting this is the book for you.
