5.0 out of 5 stars WOWWWWWWW, 23 Mar 2001
P.R. whiz Tess O'Mara is burned out. She's looking for a change. Something wild and crazy. the year 2000 has arrived. and that's when the trouble begins. A computer glitch has deposited one million dollars into her bank account. Problem is, its somebody else's money, somebody who is willing to kill to find it-and Tess has already spent a big chunk of it on a new wardrobe and a powder blue Mercedes convertible. Suddenly Tess is running for her life, as fast and as far as she can go...

...until she reaches the sleepy desert town of Almost, Arizona. Sheriff T.J. McCall, a dead ringer for Mel Gibson, is there to catche her as she careens into town and collapses from heatstroke in his arms. Jake's prepared for anything -except the spoiled city slicker with trouble in her wake. The last thing he expects is to fall for her. But as danger tracks Tess to her door, something unexpected happens that will transform two very different people, and one dustym dead-end town, forever (text taken from book cover)

Well, all i can say now is that i loved this book as I loved all other Christina Sky's novels. ITs a beautiful read and never a boring moment. Sizzling love scenes, action packed romance - what more do you want in a romance?? If you dont have this book yet - what are you waiting for - GO BUY IT! you will not regret it i promise.

3.0 out of 5 stars Almost but not quite, 14 Aug 2001
By A Customer
Yes, 2000 Kisses is good fun. Let down a bit by its saccharine title, this book is'nt as fluffy as you might initially think. I laughed out loud on serveral occations, not least when Tess, would be millionaire, manages to spend an inordinate amount of money in just one day. Mostly on clothes (normal behaviour I would think)and gets to do that 'Pretty Woman' thing, with her credit card winning respect from distainful shop assistants(every womans dream). It's almost a really good book but it's not because it goes the easy way instead of spending a little more time developing suspence or avoiding cliches. The snappy and entertaining story of ordinary folk in sundrenched Almost, Arizona, faced with a newcomer/city slicker, is complicated by a most irritating sub-plot of mystic nonsense that manages to be both confusing and unnecessary. And a potentially knockout hero falls short of being just that because he's one dimensional and flawless. Still dispite Spanish housemaids telling people to stay out of her kitchen in broken english, mysterious indian scouts appearing in thunderstorms to mutter wise ancetral words, and a monstrously improbably plot, this still somehow manages to be an enjoyable read with some good one liners and enough romance to keep you turning the pages.
