5.0 out of 5 stars Do You Feel Lucky? I Do., 3 Nov 2003
By Ryan (England) - See all my reviews
This magnificent book full of facts about probability makes maths fun. It makes children want to learn! Never has anyone made maths so appealing to children. It has puzzles, facts and questions which will keep your child reading for hours.
Not only will it make children want to learn but it teaches them in such a way that they remember every fact for ever. What is not to like about this book.

4.0 out of 5 stars 'What are the chances of that?.....', 7 Mar 2007
`Guarantee - this book contains no nasty exercises and no boring sums!'

Is Maths making you miserable?
Does probability make you panic?
Do you ever feel that you don't fancy your chances?
Then it's highly probable that you need `Do you feel lucky?'

Find out why coins have no memory, whether Urgum the Axeman is likely to lose his head and join Riverboat Lil and Brett Shuffler in a mathematical tangle with swamp snakes.
Plus, see what happens when the Gabrianni gang take a gamble with maths.

The colourful, humorous cover opens to 176 pages, split over
15 chapters:-

One day in the forgotten desert
Before we enter the strange world of probability
How not to lose your trousers
Fair play
Heads or dishes
One of the most gorgeous things in maths
Perms, coms, curries, burgers, bells and the lottery
Dice, dates and devious decks
When meteors collide and monkeys type
Making pie with a cocktail stick
Adding adders
Some odd odds
Spots, spinners and silver dollars
The Great Rhun's golden egg
So what do you think now?

written in a variety of fonts in the usual Kjartan Poskitt entertaining style. Black and white illustrations/cartoons throughout.

Maths as you have never seen it before!
