4.0 out of 5 stars 'It's time to be utterly amazed, as you're whisked off to infinity and back with Numbers....', 8 Mar 2007
`Guarantee - this book contains no nasty exercises and no boring sums!'

The colourful, humorous cover opens to 192 pages, split over
12 chapters:-

The beginning of the end
Fibonacci and the Fogsworth Manor miracle
Squares, triangles, cubes and what they get up to together
Fortunes and the phobias
Prime suspects
The curiosity shop
Magic fingers
Perfectly useless numbers
Chapter nine
The night of mad and ghostly numbers
The end of the end
The final judgement

written in a variety of fonts in the usual Kjartan Poskitt entertaining style, e.g.:-

`Some people will find this book strange.
It isn't about doing sums or fractions, it's full of stuff to make you go `ooh' and `ah' and even the occasional `uh'.
Imagine answering the door to see yourself standing there. What noise would you make?
Well, you'll be making that noise quite a lot as you read this book.........'
Maths as you have never seen it before!

Black and white illustrations/cartoons throughout.

5.0 out of 5 stars A fun book, 23 April 2006
This book isn't an ordinary maths book. To make it more fun it has aliens, mad professors, cowgirls and cowboys, utterly nutty pure mathematicians and a viking lady. It is full of nice images and is fun for people 7 - 77. Definately worth its price.
