This work meets the requirements of the DFES Problem Solving publication (2004). Part of the successful "Creative Activities" series, it meets the requirements to teach more creatively and to develop children's thinking skills. Teach children problem-solving strategies with these imaginative and creative maths problems. This book shows how once children have learned the different approaches they can become independent creative thinkers and systematically apply their skills. Problems are set in creative contexts to engage and motivate children. Plenty of visual and hands-on resources are used to cater for different learning styles. Support for more and less able is provided. It includes plenty of follow-up suggestions for further work for children to apply their knowledge, and contains full colour examples of pupil work. The chapters include: Finding all the possibilities; Logic Problems; Finding rules and describing patterns; and, Diagram puzzles and visual puzzles
