4.0 out of 5 stars Good but not one of Jude Watson's best!, 23 Jul 2004
By ABCeDar - See all my reviews
(TOP 50 REVIEWER)
No. 9 -'The False Peace', of the Jedi Quest series by Jude Watson.

'The Senate makes the laws that ensure peace and justice in the galaxy. It is meant to keep chaos and lawlessness from taking over.
But what if the Senators are not safe?
What if they are about to be attacked by powerful and sinister forces?
Under the watchful eye of Supreme Chancellor Palpatine, Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi must counter the threat to the Senate - or the whole galaxy might be thrown into a violent darkness.'

Quite a 'political' book by Jude Watson's standards - rather centred and close to home, with no light-year travel to add to the usual excitement!

4.0 out of 5 stars An average Jude Watson..., 3 Aug 2004
By A Customer
This book is a fairly good read but unfortunately has a very slow beginning. It doesn't hold the usual 'traitor' or clever plot because everything major takes place in the Senate. The ending is very good and I like the way Jude Watson finishes it. There are subtle clues in the book about what is going to happen in the next, and if I'm right I think it will be a good one. Overall the book is a good read but I just don't feel that it was one of Jude Watson's best.

5.0 out of 5 stars The story is for anyone who is interested in Obi / Ani / Palpatine relationship, 2 Nov 2006
In this story, Chancellor Palpatine finally starts to develop this firm relationship with Anakin, filling his head with ideas of power and politics.

Palpatine seems to be doing a great job, planting the seeds of doubt against Obi-Wan and the whole Jedi which will eventually make Anakin turn against his friends and family, and kill and wipe out the Jedi for Palpatine.

Yes, the way Palpatine talks to Anakin about his real power and all is really effective and SO perfect that even I nearly got tricked and was almost ready to believe every single word he says (laughs).

Things happen and once again, with Siri and Ferus, Obi-Wan and Anakin are out to capture Granta Omega.

In this story, Palpatine will be in grave danger!
