5.0 out of 5 stars Unputdownable!, 27 April 2007
I can highly recommend this. I read it whilst I was travelling on the buses - the writing flows so smoothly and I was so drawn in, I kept missing my stops!

5.0 out of 5 stars Good story. Good characters., 6 Feb 2007

Very good book. Funny, thought provoking, dark. The best thing is the motley crew of characters. A good mix. Well worth reading.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great read, 19 Mar 2007
By A. Zaluczkowska "Anna Z" (Halifax West Yorskhire) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
As Aidan prepares to go underground to make his protest I was fearful. What would he do down there and how would the writer sustain the story in such a limited space? But of course I'd no need to worry because Ray French builds a complex and engaging extended family around Aidan and they become essential players in his story.

A serious story told with humour and by great characters
