Ajay Close, an Englishwoman, peels back the gloss of post-industrial Glasgow and performs an autopsy which exposes corrupt Labour politicinas and a lot of people who could/should appear on Jerry Springer and/or Oprah. She manages to capture the distinctibve patois of the city perfectly but the book's final section seems rather hurried
