4.0 out of 5 stars mechanics made...mildly understandable, 1 Sep 2002
Mechanics has never been my strong point, but this book (like all the others in the series) keeps to the point with clear worked examples and a range of questions from easy to very challenging. A good text book for all maths students regardless of ability.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good examples followed with topic wise exercises, 10 Sep 2000
This book (M1) is in the same Heinmann series as P1-4, M1-4, T1-2, D1.

If you are studying the London exam board, this book will fit your academic needs to a quark! The thing I like about this book is that the exercise questions are directly taken from the real past paper exam question. So by the time it come to take your exam, you'll be well versed in the typical type of questions to expect.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not all there, 27 Jan 2002
By A Customer
Well, we've been using this book for our course and it does have its flaws. The last few questions of most exercises are more challenging, and the examples don't always give you the information required to work them out. This book would help you in your A-LEVEL, but you will need more than this book if you are to feel confident in the exam.
