Being a big fan of Freya North, I was very disappointed that this did not come out in 2000 as anticipated. Despite having to wait a whole extra year, I was not however at all disappointed with the book. It has all the qualities of her previous books and I think Fen is the most likeable character yet. The story moves fast, the nackground is very interesting and the ending is satisfying. My only complaint is that the reader does not find out what happens next to Cat! Can't wait for Pip now. This is one of those books where you wish you hadn't read it so that you could read it for the first time. Although, like her other books, it is definitely one to read again and again. Fantastic, and particularly amazing as the author had her baby recently!!

This is Freya North’s fifth novel and it’s as brilliant and entertaining as her first.
The book follows Fen through times when her only love is for art and sculpture to when she meets the man of her dreams; in fact she meets two of them! Who will she chose? Will it be the delicious James Caulifield or perhaps the gorgeous Matt Holden?

Fen isn’t just an average romance novel, Freya North combines love and passion with intellect and art to produce a feisty feel-good novel. Fabulously written, a splendid and highly addictive read.

Fen - an art historian obsessed by sculpture by Julius Featherstone. Living with two, rather more debauched housemates. She struggles to choose between the love of a young man Matt, with money and an equal interest in art, and an older man, James, who owns some examples by her beloved Featherstone. Beautifully written, the plot twists and turns so that you don't know who she'll choose. Takes you through sculpture and art, educating and enthralling whilst keeping you rooting for Fen the entire time. Revisiting Django and learning more of Cat's past, it nontheless maintains your interest in Fen. With three-in-a-bed romps and soul searching, right hand and left hand equating, the problems of falling in love with more than one man and the pleasure of fine art, Fen constantly keeps you guessing and piques an interest in sculpture, if only to see what all the fuss is about. A fabulous read - perfect for a rainy day snuggled up on the sofa with a big mug of hot chocolate. A real girly book, with plenty of balls, sexy men and feisty young females. Fantastic!!!
