5.0 out of 5 stars Concerning all my free time.....!, 2 Jul 2003
By A Customer
I was absolutely consumed by this book and found myself reading it at every available opportunity (dinner breaks, whilst cooking meals, in bed, in the bathroom, etc!) because it was so involving. It was like looking through a window on to the personal lives of three couples who, in different ways, are each having relationship problems. Then along comes Lily and all the problems are accelerated as she begins to seduce each of the male partners (at the same time). But would things have turned out as they did without Lily's interference or was she the sole cause? Frankly my dear, Lily doesn't give a d**n as she has no conscience whatsoever. Read and enjoy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent work which almost rivals her husband's., 6 Nov 1998

Absolutely first rate! I was enthralled throughout. It's great to see Brampton back to her finest. Lovely to see that her husband, the inimitable Jonathan Powell, is also going from strength to strength at Carlton Television.

4.0 out of 5 stars This author gets better, 4 May 2009

This review is from: Concerning Lily (Paperback)
I first read a book by Sally Brampton called Love Always and then I read this one. If I gave 10 out of 10 for Love Always I would give 8 out of 10 for this one. And less for the book written before it "Lovesick"...see separate reviews. I didn't read the three books in the order in which they were written..had I done so I would have found each one better than the last.
Took a little longer to get into the characters of "Concerning Lily" but not too long and once I was there it was an excellent read.
Lily is a minx ..intentionally or not. The book kept my interest to the end and I looked forward to the moment every day when I could pick it up and find out what Lily was going to do next. Funny how you picture the characters in your mind and for me Elizabeth's husband Charles looked like Gordon Brown! Out of her three conquests I liked Tom best and as usual the character descriptions were excellent..I am sure there are thousands of "Elizabeths" everywhere.
