3.0 out of 5 stars A quick but not very safisfactory read., 11 Feb 2001
By A Customer
This book is a nice easy read and despite being the last book in a trilogy I hadn't read was easy to follow. Cartmel's style is very easy to read and makes the book flow past very quickly. Howver the story line seems to linger round Creed for far too long and as a result things seem a bit squashed in at points. The major point is the Lack of Doctor and Chris Cwej the latter whom appears about half way through as a buddist monk. The main focus other than Creed is his son Ricky and as the novel goes on you can't help but feel he's a total nutter. The main problem is that without reading the previous two books it is difficult to fathom out why on earth, that the CIA want Cwej dead. Despite some fun with Creed's working partner Amy, the book feels like a scrap of ideas with a rushed ending. But it is still reasonably fun. Now to read the proceeding books.
