When Ace decides she needs a break from the TARDIS and its crew The Doctor takes her to the planet Massatoris whilst The Doctor and Bernice head for a nearby planet Betrushia which is reputed to be one of the most beautiful in the solar system. What they find however is a brutal civil war; styled as a parallel to Earth's WW1, complete with weary and edgy Captain, mutinous infantry
