This is an excellent book with contributions from a wide range of experts in the field. It is comprehensive and everybody working in the field will find it invaluable. Alan Stein, Professor of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, University of Oxford, UK
Alone the chapter on "The Sensitivities that Heal and That Hinder" by Ken Nunn would have justified a third edition of this book, but there is more, much more of value to the clinician in these newly revised chapters. The information reviewed here from neuroimaging studies, a fresh look at etiological possibilities, and Simon Gowers and Francess Doherty's review of prognosis and outcome have made this edition not only more useful to the theoretician, but of value to the clinician struggling to help the the families of children with eating disorders understand the state of the art and science. Julie O'Toole M.D., M.P.H., Medical Director, Kartini Clinic, Portland, Oregon

The third edition of this accessible and comprehensive book builds on the expertise of the previous editions. This book offers knowledge, perception and understanding of a fascinating but challenging patient group, with a clinical and research focus.
