Times Educational Supplement

This will have been of immense value to the schools involved, and the findings should be more widely useful

Review

Winner of the 2001 TES-NASEN Academic Book Award
'The book offers something to everyone. It reports an interesting research project in a way which is academically reputable, yet is written in an accessible style. It deals with the immediate issues facing schools and teachers and presents case studies to which practitioners can relate.'
- Alan Dyson, Chair of the NASEN of Judging Panel 2001

'This will have been of immense value to schools involved, and the findings should be more widely useful.' - Gary Thomas, Times Educational Supplement

5.0 out of 5 stars Practical & relevant, 15 April 2009
By Mr. Simon Wheeler (Scotland) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I agree with the two "official" and published reviews as in the blurb above. This is a very practical and relevant (even tho' the research is now several years old) book, detailing peer research within educational establishments and analysing the lessons drawn. These lessons can be used elsewhere- indeed, SHOULD be used elsewhere. It is co-written by practising teachers and the university researchers. It is no accident it won a TES award. I doubt there is a school in this country that cannot learn something useful from this book.
