One of the best Mafia books I've ever read. Funny and riveting. It's a window into the world of the Sopranos and an amazing account of a love-hate relationship between singer Jimmy Roselli and the Mob. They really should have whacked him. Instead Carlo Gambino cooked for him, Sam Giancana flew him to Mexico for a presidential wedding and Larry Gallo had himself buried holding a Roselli record. Go figure. This book is one of a kind.

A fabulous portrait of "the other Sinatra." Roselli has been the best kept secret in show business, except in the italian Community. The book is rich and funny and doesn't stereo- type Italian-Americans. I couldn't put it down. Evanier is the Dante of Italian American life.

Roselli succedes inspite of his personality. He is probably one of the greatest singers of all time. But thats it. He is no showman, and has no class thats why he never made it. The book is a good account of Roselli, could use a few more stories about his personal life. My father was friends with Roselli and many of the stories in the book I have heard. The book should have mentioned that Roselli was also a degenerate gambler not just a wannabe bookie. The book is a must for all Roselli fans. I hope he finally gets his due. I wish he was twenty years younger and can sing forever. Good luck Jimmy
