4.0 out of 5 stars Once You Start Reading It You Won't Be Able to Put It Down!, 19 Nov 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Ghost Children (Hardcover)
Once again Sue Townsend has produced an excellent and thoroughly gripping book, written in the form of lots of very small chapters, which makes the story line much easier to comprehend. The book is basically a love story intertwined with sadness and the reality of living in a sometimes unforgiving world, but love concurs all (or does it?) Read the book to find out!

4.0 out of 5 stars Thouroughly enjoyable, 2 July 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Ghost Children (Paperback)
The first book I read in ages, Ghost Children kept me glued to the pages and, to use an old cliche, I couldn't put it down. Literally. Admittedly, I bought the book after reading Adrian Mole, not worrying too much about the subject. I was in fact immediatedly disappointed by the lack of humour as is typical of Townsend but I soon realised that humour in dealing with a book like this would be inappropriate and Townsend's tyle is perfect, dealing with the subject very well indeed. Thouroughly enjoyable.

This review is from: Ghost Children (Hardcover)
A wonderful book that you will not be able to put down. Both touching and chilling at the same time, Townsend is able to get you hooked on all of the characters whether you end up loving them or hating them.
