It sets out the steps to be taken in an agricultural tenancy from its inception, through succession to the tenancy, to termination. Potential pitfalls are identified and practical advice on how to avoid them is offered. Key points and relevant time limits are highlighted at the beginning of each chapter. The text concentrates on aspects of landlord and tenant, including the Agricultural Holdings (Sc) Act 2003 but coverage also includes more general aspects of agricultural law, CAP and quotes and environmental law. Also new for this edition is a chapter on conveyancing issues, including land reform, in relation to the sale of farms.
