5.0 out of 5 stars Have a better birth experience!, 2 Oct 2003
There are no guarantees, but arming yourself with information can make a dramatic difference to your birth experience. This book will provide a lot of that information. Henci Goer knows her stuff and has helped many women realize the power of their own bodies and the natural process that is birth.

Birth has become over-medicalised, but it doesn't need to be. Childbirth can be a gentle and life-affirming experience for mother and baby. This book will help you find out how, and will give you the tools and information you need to have a better birth.

This book gives you all the facts in a well written engaging way. During labour you don't have the time to argue the fine points of medical scienece so mums and dads prepare yourself - this book is vital information for you and your baby so you can make informed choices.

1.0 out of 5 stars Terrifying...., 30 Aug 2005
By A Customer
I hated this book. While I read it in the hope of a natural birth, I was prepared to see how things went and I wound up terrified to have pain relief after reading this book. I showed it to my consultant and my GP and both said "throw it out!". Unnecessarily scary....
